Join us for the opening night reception of, “Resilience & Connection: Artistic Explorations of Mental Health,”, a Student Art Exhibition, Mar. 2, 2023 from 6:00-9:00 PM.

The Student Wellness Centre Peer Educators, the Centre for Advanced Research on Mental Health and Society (ARMS), the McMaster Museum of Art (MMOA), and the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) invite you to attend our Opening Night Reception of Student’s Artistic Explorations of Mental Health!
The Opening Night Reception will be hosted on Thursday March 2nd, in L.R. Wilson Room 1003 (community room) and the L.R. Wilson’s Main Lobby. Please come when you can between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
Throughout this event, we will hear from artists who have created various modalities of artwork that represent three key themes: Resilience and Sources of Hope Through Adversity; A Sense of Connection and Community; and the Diversity of the Student Identity & Process of Self-Discovery. This Art Exhibition, consisting of paintings, collages, photography, digital illustrations, and poetry, will be on an ongoing display in L.R. Wilson’s Main Lobby for the remainder of the semester.
In L.R. Wilson Room 1003 (the community room), students will share more about their journey behind their artistic creation. Refreshments and appetizers will be served from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. At this time, a cash bar will also be available for refreshments. The talks from students and community representatives will begin at 6:30 pm.
This event will allow you to hear more from students on their artistic journeys, celebrate student’s creativity and resilience, and learn more about resources available for promoting student mental health!
