Join us for the latest MIHE and ARMS Seminar: “Educational Inequalities: Autism, Mental Health Conditions & College Success”.
Presented by Dr. Jane D. McLeod, Provost Professor of Sociology & Executive Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Indiana University, and co-hosted by MIHE and ARMS, Dr. McLeod will consider educational inequalities based on autism and mental health conditions, with special attention paid to college success, as part of a more general research agenda concerned with the role of invisible disabilities in life chances.
Following an overview of general theoretical approaches to disability-based inequalities, I will present preliminary results from an ongoing panel study of college students in the state of Indiana..

About MIHE
MIHE is a research institute at McMaster University that encourages new inter-disciplinary understandings of the social, economic, cultural, political and bio-physical forces that lead to health inequities.
Our goal is to investigate health inequities, and use research to achieve health equity, take leadership in encouraging evidence-based action on health inequities.
